I received this book for an honest review

This one for me was pretty peculiar, it wasn’t a bad book, now for me it felt a little too weird and forced at parts, maybe it’s just that there were so much things happening and for some reason at the beginning the characters were so unexciting. I thought a lot about just leaving it.

I do had my complicated relationship with this one, because Kane was obnoxious, I wanted to kill him right away, don’t know why, Adam’s inclusion at the time felt so wrong and for me wasn’t at smoothly as it should have been maybe. It did have a little more sense as time progressed and all, by the end the characters at least Kane were less hateful.

One character I hated was Poppy, she was weird and bland but for me this wasn’t a good thing totally opposite, she was trying hard I can tell it’s just she didn’t sit well with me. 

An interesting part was the lore thing on the story they were trying to pull, about the women and the witches, it was a good idea on there, just a little fast on the development, but it did an interesting narrative for a while with these concept. 

In an all, the story was pretty fumbled and it was hard to keep everything in check or a straight timeline of events since a lot of things happened not only on the past but lots were happening in the time they were trying to solve, so for me it was a little confusing.

The narrator didn’t click with me either, maybe this just aggravated the situation for this one since I was just wanting to get to the end so I didn’t have to hear his voice anymore, he wasn’t quite good for this type of book, it was a little torture with his voice acting, but since he narrates the third one too, I will do my best. 

Not the best one on the series, but not that bad either, maybe the combination between story and voice wasn’t ideal and that did tarnish the experience a little.

Este para mí era bastante peculiar, no era un mal libro, ahora para mí se sentía un poco extraño y forzado por partes, tal vez es que sucedieron tantas cosas y por alguna razón al principio los personajes eran tan blandos que pensé mucho en dejarlo.

Tuve mi complicada relación con este, porque Kane era extraño, quería matarlo, no sé por qué, la inclusión de Adam en ese momento se sintió tan mal y para mí no fue tan fácil como debería haber sido tal vez. Tenía un poco más de sentido a medida que pasaba el tiempo y, al final, los personajes al menos Kane eran menos odiosos.

Uno de los personajes que odiaba era Poppy, era rara y sosa, pero para mí esto no era algo bueno totalmente opuesto, estaba intentando mucho, puedo decir que no se sentó bien conmigo.

Una parte interesante fue la historia de la leyenda que estaban tratando de contar, sobre las mujeres y las brujas, fue una buena idea allí, solo un poco rápido en el desarrollo, pero hizo una narración interesante por un tiempo con este concepto.

En general, la historia fue bastante confusa y fue difícil mantener todo bajo control o una línea de tiempo directa de los eventos, ya que muchas cosas sucedieron no solo en el pasado, sino que sucedieron muchas cosas en el tiempo que intentaban resolver, así que para para mí fue un poco confuso.

El narrador tampoco hizo clic conmigo, tal vez esto solo agravó la situación de este ya que solo quería llegar al final, así ya no tenía que escuchar su voz, no era muy bueno para este tipo de libro, fue una pequeña tortura con su voz actuando, pero como él narra el tercero también, haré lo mejor que pueda.

No es el mejor de la serie, pero tampoco está tan mal, tal vez la combinación entre historia y voz no fue ideal y eso empañó un poco la experiencia.
