Tell us a little about yourself and your background?
I’m currently working on my bachelor’s degree in accounting and employed full-time as a bank teller. I live in a small town in Ohio with my husband, daughter, 2 dogs, 1 cat, and 6 fish. I started off writing poetry in high school and didn’t start writing stories until my late twenties when a good friend of mine, Mel, brought up the idea of doing writing prompts. It was then that I found my love of writing again (I had given up on it shortly after high school).
Which writers inspire you?
My awesome friend, Mel: If it wasn’t for her I would have never even gotten this far. She’s the reason I made my dream come true.
Kylie Scott and Michelle A. Valentine: Their rockband series made me realize my love for rockband romance novels.
Edgar Allan Poe: His writing helps keep my mind and imagination sharp.
Have you written any other novels in collaboration with other writers?
I have not.
When did you decide to become a writer?
When I did National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) one year. I was beyond scared to attempt it, but with a big push from Mel, I went for it and fell in love with it.
Do you write full-time or part-time?
I One day I would love to write full-time.
I’m a messy writer. I definitely don’t work to an outline or plot. Mainly, I write by typing out random snippets on my phone. It’s not organized at all, but somehow works!
Do you have a strategy for finding reviewers?
I’m just trying to find as many as I can at the moment.
What are your thoughts on good/bad reviews?
Good reviews bring the biggest smiles to my face and the bad can knock the wind out of me. After a bad one, you get back up and move on. Don’t ever dwell on them.
